The Paradise Panthers will be playing at home against the Whitesboro Bearcats at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Paradise focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
After a string of five wins, Paradise's good fortune finally ran out. They took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ponder.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Morgan Mitschke, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Gazey Yates, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Whitesboro posted their biggest win since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They blew past S & S Consolidated, posting a 50-20 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Whitesboro who now have five in a row.
Paradise's loss ended a 16-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-7. As for Whitesboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Paradise against Whitesboro in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 52-25 win. Will Paradise repeat their success, or does Whitesboro have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
