The Massanutten Military Academy Colonels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 53-44 victory over Mountain View Christian Academy. The victory was some much needed relief for Massanutten Military Academy as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Several Conquerors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Walker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Walker also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Ritter, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Massanutten Military Academy's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Massanutten Military Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Caissons at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th. Fishburne Military is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
