Even though the Fort Collins Lambkins have not done well against the Broomfield Eagles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Fort Collins skirted past Broomfield 50-47. Winning may never get old, but Fort Collins sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Fort Collins was led to victory by Jocelyn Kramar and Avery Alcaraz. Kramar scored 13 points along with five rebounds, while Alcaraz scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Paige Fry, who scored six points.
Fort Collins is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Broomfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Collins will take on Boulder at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Boulder focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for Broomfield, they will be playing at home against Fossil Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
