Baseball Recap: Frazee Gets the Win

Frazee won the last time they faced Staples-Motley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hornets walked away with a 9-6 win over the Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Asher Blaine was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Blaine was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Frazee let Blake Sonnenberg and Conner Erickson run wild. Sonnenberg scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Erickson scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Karson Krause, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Frazee has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Staples-Motley, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frazee will venture away from home to square off against Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Staples-Motley, they will take on Perham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
