Softball Recap: Uintah Has No Trouble Against Mountain View

Uintah got themselves on the board against Mountain View on Tuesday, but Mountain View never followed suit. They blew past the Bruins 15-0. The victory continues a trend for the Utes in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won eight in a row.

Uintah got a massive performance out of Ellie Lewis, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Lewis has posted since back in March of 2024. Addison Buist also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Uintah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Uintah's record now sits at 12-5. As for Mountain View, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Uintah will challenge rival Provo at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mountain View is set to face off against their familiar foe Payson at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
