Leading Vassar to victory were Makenna McCloud and Maya Mccloud. McCloud went 8-for-16 on her way to 29 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Mccloud almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Those 29 points gave McCloud a new career-high.
Birch Run's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Fox, who posted 19 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Neveah Turner also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Vassar's win bumped their record up to 5-19. As for Birch Run, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
