The Antietam Mountaineers won the last time they faced the Palisades Pirates, and things went their way on Saturday too. Antietam secured a 44-39 W over Palisades. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Antietam.
Antietam's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but AJ Schiefly led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Julious Williams, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Antietam's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Palisades, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antietam will challenge Tulpehocken at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tulpehocken is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Palisades, they will head out on the road to face off against Saucon Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Saucon Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Monday.
