The Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cambridge. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Waterford-Halfmoon of the 64-52 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Cambridge found their leader in underclassman Luke MacDougall, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Preston Peabody, who scored ten points.
Waterford-Halfmoon has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season. As for Cambridge, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.
Waterford-Halfmoon will take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cambridge, they will head out on the road to square off against the Witches at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
