If the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers were feeling good off their 55-26 takedown of the Kansas City Christian School Panthers on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Heritage Christian Academy was dealt a 61-34 loss at the hands of Bishop Miege on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Heritage Christian Academy has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Heritage Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lucas Prado. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. Prado continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Spencer Cook was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two blocks.
Heritage Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Bishop Miege, their win was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-4.
Heritage Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Cornerstone Family at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Miege, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 games -- so hopefully Bishop Miege likes a good challenge.
