After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Belton, the Chaparral Bobcats were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-53 win over Killeen. Given Chaparral's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 390th, while Killeen is ranked 970th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chaparral's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brad Miles, who scored 12 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarko Williams, who scored 12 points.
Chaparral now has a winning record of 16-15. As for Killeen, they bumped their record down to 3-22 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home.
Chaparral will head out on the road to take on Shoemaker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shoemaker will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Killeen, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Waco at 7:00 p.m. Waco is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
