White Oak had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Monday. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 9-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

White Oak saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Butts, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Ryder Ramson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

White Oak picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Northside - Jacksonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

White Oak wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-3 loss against West Carteret on the 1st. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Havelock on the 2nd.
