Even though the Freeman Flyers have not done well against the Bridgewater/Emery Huskies recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Freeman snuck past Bridgewater/Emery with a 54-48 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Freeman.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Freeman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tate Sorensen, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Luke Peters was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
The victory got Freeman back to even at 3-3. As for Bridgewater/Emery, they have fallen quite a ways from their 15-7 record last season and are now at 3-5.
Freeman will be playing in front of their home fans against Parker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Parker is ranked 106th, while Freeman is ranked 91st). As for Bridgewater/Emery, they will head out on the road to face off against Colman-Egan at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
