Great Crossing's's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Socastee Braves at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Hopefully Great Crossing is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Socastee in their respective states (Great Crossing is ranked first in Kentucky, while Socastee is ranked 98th in South Carolina).
On Saturday, Great Crossing beat Central 54-47.
Malachi Moreno and Junius Burrell were among the main playmakers for Great Crossing as the former dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds and the latter scored 17 points. The match was Moreno's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Vince Dawson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Socastee's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Wando 46-42.
Great Crossing's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Socastee, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
