Middleton will take on Perry County at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Middleton and nine for Perry County.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 20-57, which was the final score in Middleton's tilt against Huntingdon last Thursday. Despite the loss, Middleton saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Luke Turner passed for 277 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Perry County have to be aching after a bruising 21-54 defeat to Wayne County. The state rankings had actually given Perry County a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
