After flying high against Lee Academy  last Friday, Williamsburg Academy came back down to earth. The Stallions fell just short of the Bethesda Academy Blazers by a score of  28-26 on Thursday.  Despite the loss, Williamsburg Academy still got an impressive performance from   Grant Small, who rushed for 114 yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Small is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 108 every time he's  taken the field this season.  Charlie Caulder got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
  Jordan Cheever continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bethesda Academy, rushing for 204 yards and two  scores while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jordan Turner, who threw for 158 yards and a pair of  TDs.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Williamsburg Academy  fell to 7-1. As for Bethesda Academy, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
 Williamsburg Academy will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dorchester Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 31st. The Raiders' defense has only allowed 10.1  points per game  this season, so the Stallions' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bethesda Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  49-0  win against Pee Dee Academy on the 24th.
