It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Galloway Scots ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 69-67 win over Cristo Rey Atlanta. The win made it back-to-back wins for Galloway.
Galloway got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grant Patrick out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Vaughn Murphy was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Galloway's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Galloway will head out on the road to face off against Paideia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paideia is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Cristo Rey Atlanta will take on Dominion Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
