Smithtown Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah McCarter, who scored 16 points. The contest was McCarter's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nehemiah Yuen, who scored 13 points.
Smithtown Christian's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for Center Moriches, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
