On Wednesday, American Leadership Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 37-32 to Ridge Spring-Monetta. American Leadership Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Ridge Spring-Monetta to victory were Taylah Leaphart and Kennedy Ligons. Leaphart scored 12 points along with seven steals, while Ligons scored ten points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her.
American Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Leadership Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Ridge Spring-Monetta at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Ridge Spring-Monetta and Blackville-Hilda will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Blackville-Hilda focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Wednesday.
