They weren't the only good servers: East Bakersfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 13 consecutive matchups.
East Bakersfield's record now sits at 14-8-1. As for North, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-12-1.
North took their win against East Bakersfield when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
