Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Norland Vikings walked away with it. They had just enough and edged the Rockets out 31-28. Norland's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
It was another big night for Ennio Yapoor, who rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 231 yards and a touchdown on only 18 passes.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Norland's defense and their three sacks. Tycoolhill Luman was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Norland pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Norland will stay at home for another week and welcome Bolles at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Bolles will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Norland is ranked fifth). Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
