The Tintic Miners suffered their biggest loss since November 18, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Tabiona, falling 53-25. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tintic in their matchups with Tabiona: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the defeat, Tintic had strong showings from Mikenzie Brunson, who scored seven points, and Samantha Grimstead, who scored four points.
Tintic bumped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for Tabiona, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Coincidentally, Tintic and Tabiona will both be playing Wendover the next time they take the court. Tabiona will head out to face Wendover at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Tintic will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
