Football Recap: Sneads Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sneads can now relate to. They were beaten by the Chiefland Indians 44-6 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chiefland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matt Goodale, who rushed for 48 yards and one TD, and also threw for 110 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes. The Indians also got a significant boost from Demorri Sweet, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 101 yards.

The loss snapped Sneads' winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for Chiefland, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Sneads does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chiefland, they have already played their next contest, a 49-19 win against Baker on the 21st.
