There's no place like home for the Madison Plains Golden Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Friday. They escaped with a win on Monday against Westfall by the margin of a single free throw,  35-34. For Madison Plains, this counts as revenge for the   52-44 loss Westfall walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in January of 2023.
 Madison Plains got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Claire Mason out in front who  scored six points along with nine  rebounds and four  steals. That's the first time this season that  Mason  pulled down eight or more   rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kenzie Vallery, who  scored seven points along with nine  rebounds and three  steals.
 Madison Plains' victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Westfall, they are  on a five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-11.
 Madison Plains will be playing at home against Mechanicsburg at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Mechanicsburg will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for Westfall, they will head out on the road to face off against Piketon at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday.
