After a string of three wins, the Fordland Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were beaten by Norwood 84-34. Fordland has not had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Cooper Vaughan, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists for Norwood. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton McDaris, who scored 17 points.
Fordland's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Norwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Gainesville the next time they take the court. Norwood will head out to face Gainesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Fordland will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
