The R Red Jacket won against the Penn Yan Academy Mustangs last Wednesday with 47 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. R walked away with a 47-37 win over the Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back wins for R.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead R to victory, but perhaps none more so than Truman Hill, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Hill has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Brown, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
R has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season. As for Penn Yan Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. R won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. As for Penn Yan Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m.
