The Citrus Hill Hawks lost against the Corona Panthers back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Citrus Hill took a 67-52 bruising from Corona. Citrus Hill has not had much luck with Corona recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Citrus Hill still got an impressive performance from Roland Thibodeaux, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The match was Thibodeaux's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kannon Steward, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Citrus Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Corona, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.
Citrus Hill's road trip will continue as they head out to face Colton at 10:30 a.m. on December 29th. Corona won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Loma Linda Academy at 8:45 a.m. on December 29th. Loma Linda Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 984th, while Corona is ranked 401st).
