Tallulah Falls made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Athens Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Indians put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-2 victory on Thursday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Diego Gonzalez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, BJ Carver was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Justin Smith, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Tallulah Falls pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Athens Christian, with the defeat, they broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-2.

Tallulah Falls will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
