Softball Recap: Stevensville Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Stevensville entered their tilt with East Helena on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Vigilantes. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Jaidan Oyler was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Davids, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Stevensville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in seven consecutive games.

Stevensville pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Helena, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stevensville will host Corvallis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Helena, they will welcome Fergus at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
