Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King's Way Christian). Everything went their way against the Stevenson Bulldogs on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-1 victory. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Derek Tarnoski made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, King's Way Christian got a massive performance out of Reece Johnson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Johnson has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Disbrow, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

King's Way Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .614. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stevenson only posted an OBP of .250.

King's Way Christian pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Stevenson, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

King's Way Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
