The Stringer Red Devils lost against the Sylva Bay Academy Saints back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. Stringer took a  49-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sylva Bay Academy. Stringer has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sylva Bay Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Reese Shumock, who  scored 12 points along with seven  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Lily Hatcher, who  scored 13 points.
 Stringer has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost nine of their last 11 matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Sylva Bay Academy,  the  win  makes it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 9-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stringer will stay at home for another  game and welcome Clarkdale at 6:00  p.m.  on December 22nd. Clarkdale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Sylva Bay Academy will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Newton County Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on January 4, 2024.
