Nick Eberstein of Mendon ran for the longest rushing play in Saint Joseph Valley this season against Buchanan last week. Eberstein scampered for 69 yards on the play and finished with 122 on the day as his team defeated the Bucks.
Mendon extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Buchanan, 33-28. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Mendon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Eberstein has thrown for 748 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Elijah Klepper has eight catches for 191 yards. Eberstein also leads the league in rushing with 475 yards.
Bronson moved up to 430 from 493 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Saint Joseph Valley. The Vikings were able to make the jump by besting Stockbridge 45-14.
