Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nipomo). They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 62-23 victory over the Santa Maria Saints. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Titans with their most commanding win of the season.

Several Saints players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aaliyah Juarez, who posted 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Juarez a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Jacqueline Paredes, who had 13 boards and seven steals.

Nipomo has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. As for Santa Maria, they dropped their record down to 10-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nipomo will face off against Pioneer Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Maria, they will take on Atascadero at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Atascadero will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Santa Maria surely won't give up without a fight.
