Porter found a leader in Hugo Sanchez as the squad took down Pace on Tuesday. Sanchez was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Porter is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-11 otherwise.

Sanchez's effort led Porter over Pace and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys are 8-1 against the Vikings going back to March of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
