The Los Banos Tigers entered their tilt with the Pacheco Panthers with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Los Banos came out on top against Pacheco by a score of 26-16 on Friday. Given Los Banos' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while Pacheco is ranked 728th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Pacheco still got an impressive performance from Abel Bravo, who rushed for 181 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for a yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Bravo was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
Los Banos' victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.3 points per game. As for Pacheco, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
