After losing to the Plainville Cardinals the last time they met, the Hill City Ringnecks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Hill City came out on top against Plainville by a score of 56-49 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hill City.
Hill City had a senior duo take command as Jaden Nuss scored 23 points along with five rebounds and Dylan Gansel scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Gansel hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Hill City's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Plainville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hill City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Golden Plains at 4:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Hill City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday. As for Plainville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hoxie on Friday.
