The South Pike Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 27 points or more this season. They really took it to Wilkinson County for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-22 victory at home. That 62-22 margin sets a new team best for South Pike this season.
South Pike can attribute much of their success to Makayla Robertson, who scored 16 points along with seven steals. That's the first time this season that Robertson scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Deanna Lewis, who scored eight points.
South Pike is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Wilkinson County, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
