The Social Circle Redskins's game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pendleton. While losing is never fun, Social Circle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 451st in Georgia, while Pendleton is ranked 169th in South Carolina).
Despite the loss, Social Circle still got an impressive performance from Jameccus Hardge, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Hardge continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Justin Russell, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Pendleton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Garon Blalock, who scored 12 points. Luke Gray was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
