The Nokomis Warriors lost against the Oceanside Mariners back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Nokomis took a serious blow against Oceanside, falling 52-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Nokomis in their matchups with Oceanside: they've now lost four in a row.
Cohen Galley was his usual excellent self, rushing for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Galley is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Oceanside also got a significant boost from Aiden Sergent, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
Nokomis' loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Oceanside, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Nokomis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oceanside also has no future games currently scheduled.
