The Meadows School Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over Sports Leadership & Management. The victory was nothing new for The Meadows School as they're now sitting on four straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Meadows School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tessa Lalanne, who scored 18 points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Lalanne posted two or more blocks. Alexa Carambas was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Sports Leadership & Management's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tavara Swonger, who scored ten points along with five steals. Swonger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dennise Fleming, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
The Meadows School's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas the next time they take the court. The Meadows School will head out to face Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Sports Leadership & Management will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
