Scotia-Glenville has won nine straight games at home (dating back to last season), while South Glens Falls has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Tartans will host the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Glens Falls' hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Scotia-Glenville hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Tartans' pitchers stepped up to hand Schenectady a 19-0 shutout on Wednesday.
Keeley Kristel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

Scotia-Glenville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .722. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, South Glens Falls got the win against Schuylerville on Wednesday by a conclusive 9-0.
Not much got past Isabelle Ames, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Schuylerville off the board.
On the hitting side, Gianna Marissal was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Craft, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Scotia-Glenville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for South Glens Falls, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
Both Scotia-Glenville and South Glens Falls just can't seem to miss. The Tartans have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like South Glens Falls struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Scotia-Glenville couldn't quite finish off South Glens Falls when the teams last played back in April and fell 4-2. Will the Tartans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
