McDowell is 8-1 against Mitchell since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Mountaineers at 6:30 p.m. McDowell will be strutting in after a victory while Mitchell will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, McDowell turned things around against Freedom on Friday. They skirted past the Patriots 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted against the Patriots since April 10, 2018.

Kaine Boone made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Drue Rose, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Danny Brown, who went 2-for-5 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Mitchell scored first but ultimately less than Patton in their matchup on Monday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-3. The Mountaineers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
AJ Mackey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.
Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for McDowell, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. McDowell has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Mitchell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
McDowell beat Mitchell 13-9 in their previous matchup on March 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
