Salida walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-16.
Salida can attribute much of their success to Cooper Fisher, who had 11 digs and three aces. What's more, Fisher posted two assists, the most she's had since back in September.
Fisher wasn't the only good servers: Salida was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Mary's only served one.
Salida's record is now 13-6. As for St. Mary's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
