Corbin Kyes' Big Game Leads Central City over Broken Bow
Corbin Kyes's big game helped extend Central City's winning streak to six on Friday. Kyes turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 172 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 146 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Central City pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Kyes will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Aurora on Friday.

Parker Zikmund's big game helped extend Central City's winning streak to six on Friday. Zikmund did his part (and then some), throwing for 206 yards and four touchdowns for the 'W'.
This year, Zikmund has thrown 27 touchdowns (and and only 5 pick) while averaging 236.1 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.38 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 3.63 rushing yards.

Adams Central was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Kaleb Wahlmeier did his best to prevent it. Wahlmeier turned in nothing short of a gem, making ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Adams Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Wahlmeier and Adams Central will challenge Milford on Friday.

Austin Imler Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sadly, Austin Imler posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Adams Central over Lincoln Christian on Friday. Imler wasn't messing around, making 22 total tackles. The matchup was his fifth straight with seven or more total tackles dating back to last season.
This season, Imler has averaged 10.1 total tackles per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging two total tackles per game.

Wyatt Dent Dazzles in Central City Win
Central City picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Wyatt Dent. Dent was dynamite, picking up 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
If the past is any indication, Dent could be in store for another big game when he takes on Aurora on Friday. Dent picked up 181 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Huskies duked it out back in October of 2023.
