The Altha Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Ponce De Leon Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ponce De Leon took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Altha, who comes in off a win.
It was a proper cat-fight when Altha took on Gadsden County on Friday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 25-1 margin over the Jaguars. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Mason Hill was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hill was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jesse Glover and Will O'Bryan did most of the damage at the plate: Glover went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while O'Bryan got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Gauge Edenfield, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, Ponce De Leon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to Vernon. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly ten runs.
Altha's record is now 2-0. As for Ponce De Leon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Altha came out on top in a nail-biter against Ponce De Leon in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
