South Grand Prairie made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 998 from 1,065.
Duncanville's Jeremiah Drake and Devante Smith have formed a dream team this season, leading 5A Region I District 7 in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Drake has thrown for 1,258 yards this season, while Smith has 34 catches for 384 yards. Midlothian's Victor Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 725.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between DeSoto and Mansfield Timberview. The Eagles comes into the matchup ranked first in the state, while the Wolves ranks 17th.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when DeSoto takes on Mansfield Timberview. Claude Mathis' team's offense has recorded 198 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while James Brown's team has permitted only 41 on the year.
Two highly praised recruits will be in the spotlight when the Eagles and the Wolves meet this week. DeSoto features well-regarded sophomore Tristen Wallace while Mansfield Timberview has Edward Paris, a sought after defensive back.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Eagles take on the Wolves. DeSoto has allowed 82 points this season, while Mansfield Timberview has given up 41.
