The Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers waltzed into their contest Monday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Donegal by a score of 54-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lampeter-Strasburg also won the last time the pair played back in January.
It was another big night for Dean Herr, who scored 15 points along with nine steals. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Justin Glick, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Lampeter-Strasburg pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Donegal, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lampeter-Strasburg will be home for the holidays to greet Muhlenberg at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Muhlenberg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Lampeter-Strasburg is ranked 110th). Donegal will be home for the holidays to greet Ephrata at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
