The Sublette Larks will be playing at home against the Moscow Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Moscow took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sublette, who comes in off a win.
Even though Wichita County scored an imposing 64 points on Friday, Sublette still came out on top. Sublette walked away with a 73-64 win over Wichita County. That's two games straight that Sublette has won by exactly nine points.
Meanwhile, Moscow's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Osborne 58-27. While losing is never fun, Moscow can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Osborne is ranked 89th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jose Moran, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Clark, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Sublette is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Moscow, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Sublette against Moscow in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 84-34 victory. Will Sublette repeat their success, or does Moscow have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
