Basketball Recap: Quintin Bresette Key Part of a Team Effort in Trollers Win

Bayfield hadn't done well against Drummond recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bayfield Trollers enjoyed a cozy 61-43 victory over the Drummond Lumberjacks. For the Trollers, this counts as revenge for the 50-46 win the Lumberjacks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Bayfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Quintin Bresette out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 assists. The dominant performance also gave Bresette a new career-high in blocks (four). Maxwell Gordon was another key player, going 10 for 14 on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Bayfield now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Drummond, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayfield will host Solon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Bayfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Drummond, they will welcome Hurley at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
