The Killian Cougars fell victim to the Norland Vikings''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Vikings. Killian's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Ennio Yapoor, who threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Yapoor hasn't dropped below 300 passing yards for three straight games. Jaheim Miller made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Another reason for the win was Norland's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 16 sacks. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Killian's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Norland, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 10-0.
Killian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Norland will look to defend their home field on November 10th against St. Brendan at 7:30 p.m. St. Brendan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Norland is ranked sixth).
