The Faith Baptist School Falcons won the last time they faced the Fairwinds Christian Knights, and things went their way on Thursday too. Faith Baptist School walked away with a 29-17 win over Fairwinds Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Faith Baptist School.
Among those leading the charge was Brenna Binkley, who scored 11 points along with eight steals. Another player making a difference was Nevina Jenkins HS, who scored a points along with 12 rebounds and seven steals.
Fairwinds Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gabbie Moore, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Faith Baptist School's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0. As for Fairwinds Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Faith Baptist School won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chestertown Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 12th. As for Fairwinds Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenwood Mennonite at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th.
